RVStatus Discord bot
The RVStatus bot tells you when people start playing in your region, so you can join a full match instead of an empty one. There are two ways to use it.
For live player counts and history, see the server status page.
Join the RVStatus Discord server
A small Discord server just for this bot: live status channels for each region and region buttons. Click your regions to get a ping when they start getting players.
This is not the rVclient Discord. It is a separate community server, only for RVStatus. For the game itself, use the rVclient Discord.
Join the RVStatus Discord ↗Or get private messages without joining a server
- Add RVStatus to your Discord account and confirm. This adds its commands to your account; it gets no access to your messages or servers.
- Open RVStatus in Discord and click Message to start a private chat.
- Type /notify add, pick your region, and press Enter. The bot sends a short confirmation.
From then on, the bot messages you when your region starts getting players: once per busy period, not after every match. You can add up to 10 notifications, for example one per region.
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/notify add | Message me when a region gets busy. Options: region (leave empty for every region), min_players (how many players counts as busy, default 3), quiet_minutes (how long the region must be quiet before you hear about it again, default 20). |
/notify list | Show your notifications and their numbers. |
/notify remove | Stop one notification, by its number from the list. |
/players | Show the players on every server right now (only you see the answer). |
/help | A short explanation of the bot. |
Example: /notify add region:Tokyo min_players:10 sends you a message when 10 or more people are playing on the Tokyo servers.
If the bot cannot message you, it tells you right away when you add the notification.
To find a good time to play, the When people play chart on the status page shows the hours your region is usually busiest, in your time zone.
